This is one of only 225 R8 guitars made with a factory certified Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. It is 100% original and is in NOS mint condition. The finish is a factory aged washed cherry which came on the “Custom Authentic” models in 2003. It has a strong red cherry color and weighs 9 lbs 1 oz. It is accurate to ’58 specifications with CTS pots and Bumblebee tone capacitors, original Burstbucker pickups, carved maple top, mahogany back and sides, one-piece mahogany neck with the ’58 rounded C profile, and the original long tenon joint, binding on body and neck, nickel hardware, original ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, and 100% nitro finish.
